"Church as Movement" Wins Readers Choice Award

We’re pleased to announce that The Church as Movement: Starting and Sustaining Missional-Incarnational Communities, co-authored by V3 Movement leaders JR Woodward and Dan White Jr. is the recipient of the Intervarsity Press Readers Choice Award!
Church as Movement won for the category “IVP Praxis”. The publisher describes the Praxis line this way:

IVP Praxis is a new line of books that brings together theory and practice for the advancement of your ministry. Each book utilizes sound biblical and theological principles to create a venue for addressing the daily challenges of contemporary ministry.

Based on scripture, their experience church planting and working with V3 church planters, JR and Dan wrote the book as an “interactive field manual.” With goal of helping planters and teams”gain eight key competencies crucial for church planting, so that [they] can create churches that flourish and launch their own sustainable missional and incarnational congregations.”
The book is also one of the first four from a new partnership between Missio Alliance and IVP. The purpose of this new line is to curate “a series of books that both embody and address the issues of comprehensive mutuality, hopeful witness, and church in mission as vital to the health and integrity of the church.”
