Every church planter needs prayer support, coaching, peer mentors, training and funding. We at V3 desire to support you in every way, which is why every planter that has successfully completed the first two steps (see “For Planters“) is eligible to apply for a grant. Grants are distributed based on documentation of needs, strength of the application, availability of funds and the volume of requests. Read on below to learn more about the Barnabas Grant, designed to help church planters and fuel the V3 Church Planting Movement.
Barnabas Grants are designed to help provide concrete start up expenses. It can be used for things like renting or purchasing facilities, furniture, portable storage, transporting equipment, computers, printers, audio-visual equipment, musical instruments, sound systems, and advertising. Sometimes this grant also involves salary and benefits, if available. Eligibility to apply for this grant requires that you becoming part of the BGAV and applying to and being accepted to the Engaging V3 learning cohort. You must participate in the Learning Cohort for one semester with only two excused absences. Then after and successfully completing the live assessment and having 30 people as a part of your missional community (up to ten children), you can contact us for a link to the grant application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be given a response based on the strength of your application, the goals and purposes of V3, and the availability of funds.
We believe the development of key leaders is an important component for long-term fruitfulness in ministry. The Timothy Grant provides financial assistance to key leaders for education, training, and coaching. Eligibility to apply for this grant requires that you chose a V3 learning cohort to join and get accepted. You can get up to $100 for the annual Praxis Gathering. After being accepted to the learning cohort and becoming part of of BGAV you can contact us for a link to the grant application. Your application will be reviewed and you will be given a response based on the strength of your application, the goals and purposes of V3, and the availability of funds.
