It has become daily news to see leaders abuse their power or observe their character crumble. In the last few decades we’ve baptized business practices and hierarchical structures—it has ravaged the soul of the Church. We need another way forward. At The Praxis Gathering 2018, our fourth annual time together, we will plummet deep into the hands-on-work of Re-Imagining Leadership with unique emphasis on mutual leadership, emotional healthy leadership, five-fold intelligence, multicultural leadership and leadership in the neighborhood. We are overjoyed to welcome Christiana Rice in joining us. She is among some of the best on-the-ground church planters and practitioners who will awaken us to the possibilities for lighting a path ahead for soul-healthy leadership in our churches.
About Christiana
Christiana Rice is an on-the ground practitioner and visionary voice in the missional movement and co-author of To Alter Your World: Partnering with God to Rebirth Our Communities. She also serves as a coach and trainer with Thresholds, a community of player-coaches who help people create spaces of discovery and communities of transformation. She leads a neighborhood faith community in San Diego.
Christiana grew up in Tokyo, Japan, the daughter and granddaughter of missionaries. Whether teaching and coaching global leaders, engaging the deeper spiritual longings of her neighbors, or embracing the sacred mundane of daily life with her family and her community, Christiana seeks participate in God’s restorative mission in all things.

Leadership grows from the ground up. As we tend to the soil our inner lives, we discover who we are and the depth of influence God has given us. Join us for this workshop where we’ll identify practices and principles for leadership formation as we ground our lives in our neighborhoods.
